The seventh edition of NanotechItaly has successfully ended. Researchers, entrepreneurs, managers, policy makers met in Venice for the most important annual event in Italy on nanotechnology and the other Kets – Key Enabling Technologies. Objective of the event was a first evaluation just a few months after the launch of the first calls of Horizon2020 and of the structural funds provided by the regions and Member States through the actions of smart specialization.
This year NanotechItaly has involved high profile speakers who addressed from different angles the issue of the KETs, considered by the European Program Horizon2020 as an essential tool to promote and support the development and industrial competitiveness of Europe in the coming years.
A comprehensive analysis of the role of KETs for industrial development has been illustrated during NanotechItaly, in areas such as health and well-being, the efficient use of resources and raw materials, processes and production systems, bio-industry, aerospace.
